Fun Spots in Jacksonville Every Boater Should Visit

The River City is home to countless water-lovers just like you. Whether you spend your days by the beach or sprawled out on your boat, there’s no better place for the coastal lifestyle. Jacksonville offers boaters an endless choice of destinations. From bustling sandbars to boat-up restaurants, our team put together your go-to list of boating hotspots for the summer.

Delicious Restaurants Along Roscoe

Roscoe Boulevard in Ponte Vedra is home to some amazing restaurants and breathtaking homes. Next time you cruise down the Intracoastal Waterway, be sure to make some time for a quick bite. We may be a bit biased, but our two favorites are Valley Smoke and Palm Valley Fish Camp.

Both of our Roscoe dining spots offer lunch, dinner and an irresistible cocktail list. Come cool off with us after a long day of fishing, tubing and relaxing.

The Sandbars of Ft. George Inlet

Ft. George Inlet is a mecca for Jacksonville boaters to relax and interact with other locals. Head towards the spot where the Ft. George River opens up to the Atlantic Ocean, and plan to spend a whole afternoon in the area.

The unique waters of this inlet offer long, shallow sandbars and pristine waters. Jax locals often call this spot the “First Coast Bahamas”, and for good reason.

Cast a Line at the Nassau Sound

Northeast Florida is notorious for some pretty great fishing, and it doesn’t get much better than the Nassau Sound. Cruise toward the Nassau Sound Fishing Bridge right off the Intracoastal. This is a great spot to catch drum, whiting, tarpon and jack.

Don’t have a boat but still want to reel ‘em in? We don’t blame you! Take your car through the Amelia Island State Park and cast your line from the bridge.

Pop into Palm Valley Fish Camp Next Time You’re in the Area!

Palm Valley Fish Camp is conveniently situated along the Intracoastal Waterway. We offer fresh seafood, ice cold drinks and local specialities. Whether you’re planning a romantic date night or just hopping off the boat, there’s a seat for everything at the Fish Camp.
